The effects of crops, crop rotations, and cropping practices used in agriculture often only become apparent in the long term. The SLU Agricultural Long-Term Experiments, funded by the Faculty of Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences at SLU, constitute a unique and valuable resource for research, education, and professional advice due to the data collected in them. Researchers are welcome to use data collected from our long-term field trials, or utilize the sites for new sample and data collection.

The ALTES web portal is a comprehensive resource for information and metadata regarding our long-term experiments and the initiatives that utilize them. This web portal was developed in collaboration with the SLU Unit for Field-Based Forest Research and Silvaboreal, and is funded and maintained by the SLU Program for Agricultural Field Research.
